Skills Canada competitions
Cariboo Junior Skills Competition is for teams of students in Grades 6 to 9. Gold Medal winners in the Cariboo Junior Skills competition may be invited to compete in the Skills B.C. competition.
Cariboo Regional Skills Competition is primarily for secondary students although some post-secondary competitions may be held as a warm-up to the Skills B.C. competition. Gold medal winners in the Cariboo Regional Skills Competition may be invited to compete in the Skills B.C. competition.

Try-A-Trade
This is an opportunity for area youth to practice some of the hands-on skills used on a daily basis by automotive technicians, cabinet makers, carpenters, electricians and welders.
Mechanics shop:
9:30 to 11:30, 12:30 to 2:30
Individual students as space is available

Carpentry shop:
9:30 to 11:30, 12:30 to 2:30
Individual students as space is available
Students will build a storage shed under close supervision
Electrical shop:
9:30 to 11:30, 12:30 to 2:30

Piping shop:
9:30 to 11:30, 12:30 to 2:30

Students will solder copper pipe, glue plastic pipe and other tasks TBA
Welding Shop:
