Tri Kids Triathlon parking and transit changes

On Sunday, July 21, children from three to 15 years old will participate in the 2013 Tri Kids Triathlon at Mission Recreation Park.

To accommodate the event, a portion of the Mission Recreation Park parking lot in front of the Capital News Centre (CNC) will be closed to vehicles on Saturday, July 20 at 8 a.m. to Sunday, July 21 at 4 p.m.

While there will be no impact on transit routes or schedules, transit users will board at a temporary bus stop located in the CNC parking lot. Volunteers will be on site to redirect transit users and aid passengers onto the bus via the temporary ramp.

Access to the H20 Adventure + Fitness Centre and the CNC will be maintained through the Lequime Road entrance; however the entrance to H20 located off Gordon Drive will be closed Sunday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Access to all sports fields will be maintained through the Lexington Road entrance; however a portion of the Ring Road will be closed on Sunday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. to accommodate race participants.
