A CP train collided with a CP truck in Kamloops this morning, leaving a fiery wreckage.

Kamloops Fire Rescue crews responded to the crash at around 10 a.m. today, Dec. 29. A CP company truck on the railway was hit by the oncoming locomotive, Kamloops RCMP Cpl. Chris Kienzle said.

Emergency crews are responding to the scene along the Trans-Canada Highway east of the city at tghe Lafarge Road crossing near Dallas.

An official with the fire department said there are no injuries he's aware of, but added emergency crews are still on the scene and he expects they'll be there for some time.

Kamloops RCMP initially responded to the scene, but the investigation was then handed off to CP Police, Cpl. Chris Kienzle said.

The railway company confirmed its train "contacted" its own truck in an emailed statement.

"There were no injuries, and there was no derailment," CP Rail said in a statement. "The incident is under investigation."
