UPDATE: Severe thunderstorm watch for South Thompson and Shuswap ends

SOUTH THOMPSON – Severe thunderstorms along with strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain are possible in the South Thompson and Shuswap today.

Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the areas including Kamloops, Ashcroft and Salmon Arm today, July 25.

Should the severe thunderstorms occur, they could will include lightning, strong winds, hail, and heavy downpours which could produce flash floods and cause water to pool on roads, according to the watch.
