KELOWNA – A pair of men are being sought by RCMP after the Liquids liquor store on Gordon Drive was robbed Saturday night.

The two men, both wearing black and with their faces concealed, entered the liquor store minutes before it was set to close at 11 p.m.  One of the men began putting bottles into a bag while the second suspect threatened the clerk with what RCMP are calling a “bat-like weapon”.

Both men fled on foot in the direction of Gordon Drive with approximately $200 worth of stolen booze.

A police service dog was unable to locate the two suspects.

The armed suspect is described as a 5’11” Caucasian in his early 20’s wearing all black and carrying a black backpack. The second suspect is 5’7” to 5’9” with a thin build and wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt, black ball cap with white brim, beige pants, white runners and a red duffle bag.

RCMP are asking anyone with information to call Const. L. Shufelt at (250) 762-3300 or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
