KAMLOOPS - While it may be grey today, there should be sun for the weekend.

Today, June 15, is expected to be mainly cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers, according to Environment Canada, with a high of 21 Celsius and a 30 km/h breeze arriving around lunch. Tonight the temperature will drop to 13 C, with the breeze and 40 per cent chance of showers remaining.

Tomorrow we could see a bit of everything, with a mix of sun and clouds, chance of showers and risk of thunderstorms in the afternoon. The wind will still be around, gusting up to 40 km/h. A high of 22 C is forecast for the day. Overnight expect lows around 11 C and a 40 per cent chance of showers.

After a couple of drab days, Saturday looks to be pretty nice, with a sunny day predicted and highs around 25 C. Overnight cloudy periods will roll through, with a low of 11 C expected.

Sunday it’s going to get even hotter, with highs around 29 C and a mix of sun and cloud. Overnight it’ll drop back to 13 C.

Next week the heat is forecast to remain, with highs in the high 20s and sunny days.

This weekend temperatures are about normal for Kamloops at this time of year, which range from highs at 25 C and lows of 12 C.
