Sunshine and warm temperatures in Kamloops early this week

KAMLOOPS - It's going to warm up and dry out in Kamloops early this week before the clouds and showers return.

Environment Canada is calling for a mix of sun and cloud today, May 8, with a the wind southeast at 20 km/h and a high of 19 Celsius. There is a 30 per cent chance of showers in western sections this evening. It will be partly cloudy overnight with the wind becoming light and a low of 7 C.

The forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud tomorrow, a brisk southwest wind in the afternoon and a high of 23 C. Expect cloudy periods overnight with a low of 12.

Wednesday will sunny with a high of 27 C. The night time low is expected to only fall to 16 C on a clear night.

Thursday things will begin to turn, as a mix of sun and cloud is forecast with a 40 per cent chance of showers. The high will still be high, though, at 25 C.

On Friday the weather will continue to deteriorate with showers, cloudy skies and a high of 17 C. That will continue overnight with a 30 per cent of showers and low of 9 C.

Normals for this time of year in Kamloops range between a high of 21 C and low of 7 C.
