Stuart Park Phase 2 construction begins

Work on Phase 2 of Stuart Park begins today with habitat enhancements along the lakeshore and reconstruction of the waterfront promenade.

Public access to the promenade is now closed from the north end of the ice rink to the Water Street boat launch north of the Kelowna Yacht Club now under construction.

Pedestrian access will be rerouted around the construction zone along the sidewalk on Water Street. The new promenade will open to the public in July.

When Phase 2 is complete, Stuart Park will provide 300 metres of prime downtown waterfront access for visitors and residents and is part of the Waterfront Parks Plan goal to provide continuous public access to Kelowna's shoreline.
