Most actively traded companies on the TSX, TSX Venture Exchange markets

TORONTO - Some of the most active companies traded Monday on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange:

Toronto Stock Exchange (13,681.48 down 66.04 points):

Osisko Mining Corp. (TSX:OSK). Miner. Up $1.07, or 20.70 per cent, to $6.24 on 68 million shares. Goldcorp Inc. (TSX:G) announced a $2.6-billion cash and stock takeover play for the Montreal-based company.

Teranga Gold Corp. (TSX:TGZ) Miner. Up three cents, or 5.45 per cent, to 58 cents on 12.9 million shares.

Goldcorp Inc. (TSX:G) Miner. Down 25 cents, or 0.99 per cent, to $25.04 on 6.1 million shares.

Air Canada (TSX:AC.B) Airline. Up 44 cents, or 5.26 per cent, to $8.80 on 5.4 million shares.

B2Gold Corp. (TSX:BTO). Miner. Up 15 cents, or 6.52 per cent, to $2.45 on 5.3 million shares.

Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Transportation. Down two cents, or 0.44 per cent, to $4.49 on 4.9 million shares.

Toronto Venture Exchange (966.55 up 9.85 points):

PNG Gold Corp. (TSXV:PGK). Miner. Up half a cent, or 20 per cent, to three cents on 3.9 million shares.

TransGaming Inc. (TSXV:TNG). Technology. Up six cents, or 21.43 per cent, to 34 cents on 3.1 million shares.

Companies reporting major news:

BlackBerry Ltd. (TSX:BB). Wireless communications. Down 45 cents, or 4.71 per cent, to $9.11 on 3.4 million shares. BlackBerry chief executive John Chen is hiring another executive with whom he worked. Eric Johnson, who was with Chen at California-based Sybase, which Chen previously turned around before it was sold, will become BlackBerry's president of global sales.

Saputo Inc. (TSX:SAP). Dairy. Up 34 cents, or 0.68 per cent, to $50.19 on 565,059 shares. The Canadian-based cheese and dairy giant says it has purchased another 2.8 million shares in Warrnambool Cheese & Butter, increasing its holding to 26.4 per cent, as it presses on with its takeover bid for Australia's largest dairy processor.
