Most actively traded companies on the TSX, TSX Venture Exchange markets

TORONTO - Some of the most active companies traded Tuesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange:

Toronto Stock Exchange (12,504.81 up 5.26 points):

Uranium One Inc. (TSX:UUU). Miner. Up 18 cents, or eight per cent, at $2.43 on 21,530,800 shares.

TORC Oil & Gas Ltd. (TSX:TOG). Oil and gas. Up nine cents, or 3.75 per cent, at $2.49 on 8,768,931 shares.

Manulife Financial Corp. (TXS:MFC). Financial services. Up 36 cents, or 2.57 per cent, at $14.39 on 5,751,720 shares.

Paladin Energy Ltd. (TSX:PDN). Oil and gas. Unchanged at $1.10 on 5,026,057 shares.

Goldcorp Inc. (TSX:G). Miner. Up $1.12, or 3.23 per cent, at $35.81 on 4,639,339 shares. The Vancouver-based miner announced after markets closed Monday that it was increasing its monthly dividend to five cents per share.

Research In Motion Ltd. (TSX:RIM). Wireless technology. Up two cents, or 0.17 per cent, at $11.78 on 4,385,833 shares.

TSX Venture Exchange (1,225.38 up 1.49 points):

Iona Energy Inc. (TSXV:INA). Oil and gas. Up four cents, or 7.27 per cent, at 59 cents on 7,549,196 shares.

Intertainment Media Inc. (TSXV:INT). Digital media. Down one cent, or 5.56 per cent, at 17 cents on 5,769,156 shares.

Companies reporting major news:

Barrick Gold Inc. (TSX:ABX). Miner. Down 43 cents, or 1.28 per cent, at $33.14 on 3,659,399 shares. Talks aimed at the potential sale of African Barrick Gold to a Chinese company have ended without a deal, the company said Tuesday.

Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp. (TSX:PRE). Oil and gas. Down 23 cents, or 1.04 per cent, at $21.99 on 1,093,183 shares. The Colombia-focused oil and gas company is expecting higher production and spending in 2013, eyeing a 15 to 30 per cent increase in average daily production in 2013 compared with 2012.
