It’s spring in the Okanagan, meaning wineries are beginning to host events, bring out new dishes and welcome guests to their vineyards.

There’s plenty of new things to try at Peak Cellars and its popular Garden Bistro restaurant this spring.

The Lake Country winery is offering themed menus on the last Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in May and June, said assistant bistro manager Jesse Joseph. May will feature a Greek menu and guests can prepare to sample Moroccan dishes this June.

A majority of the winery’s dining is outside with two beautiful patios and a pergola that can be rented out for events such as business meetings or micro weddings.

“Our patio offers a beautiful spot with a view of Okanagan Lake and the surrounding mountains. It’s a great spot to enjoy some wonderful foods and a glass of wine,” Joseph said.

Guests don’t need to hold an event to enjoy crispy Neapolitan-style pizza now that the outdoor forno oven has restarted for the season.

Daily features and desserts are readily available and are made with ingredients harvested from the restaurant's own organic vegetable garden, Joseph said. Happy hour is from 3 to 5 p.m. daily.

Starting May long weekend, live music will be available from 6 to 8 p.m. every Wednesday and Sunday until September with a new vineyard viewing platform.
