Speed a factor in fatal motorcycle crash in Salmon Arm: RCMP
A motorcycle rider was killed in a crash in Salmon Arm this past weekend.
RCMP officers, paramedics and firefighters responded to the motorcycle crash around 8:20 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, in the 300 block of Salmon River Road, according to an RCMP media release.
A man riding a black motorcycle north on Salmon River Road failed to negotiate a 90-degree turn and left the roadway, RCMP said.
He died at the scene despite life-saving efforts by bystanders, firefighters and paramedics.
“Speed is suspected as being a leading cause of this tragic single-vehicle collision,” RCMP said in the release.
