The sunset in Kamloops on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017. More sunshine but cooler temperatures are expected this week.

KAMLOOPS - After a month of unseasonally mild weather, it looks like Friday will be the only day the mercury rises above the freezing mark this week in Kamloops.

The Environment Canada forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud today, Dec. 4, with a high of -1 Celsius. It will become cloudy overnight with a low of -5 C.

Expect both sunshine and cloud tomorrow with a high of -1 C and an overnight low of -4 C.

On Wednesday and Thursday, plan for a mix of sun and cloud and a high of -3 C both days.

The temperature should warm up a bit on Friday with a high of 3 C, and again, a mix of sun and cloud.

We'll trade clouds for milder temperatures on the weekend with highs of 6 C for Saturday and Sunday.

Normal temperatures for this time of year are highs of 1 C and lows of -5 C.
