KAMLOOPS - Be prepared to enjoy some beautiful spring-like weather today and tomorrow in Kamloops before an unsettled pattern brings a mixed bag of conditions to the city for the remainder of the week.

Environment Canada meteorologist Carmen Hart says to look for mainly sunny skies with westerly winds at 20 km/h and a daytime high of 17 Celsius today, April 1.

Tomorrow's conditions will be similar, with a high of 18 C and an overnight low of 5 C.

Hart says the weather pattern will start to change tomorrow night as the ridge of high pressure dominating the weather over the past few days erodes and a number of low pressure systems make their way through Kamloops.

“We are expecting the possibility of showers for the rest of the week, with the heaviest rain on Friday,” Hart says.

Clouds will move in overnight tomorrow bringing a 40 per cent chance of showers on Wednesday with a high of 14 C.

A mix of sun and cloud follows on Thursday with a similar high of 14 C.

Clouds and periods of rain with a daytime high of 15 C and an overnight low of 8 C are expected on Friday.

The weekend doesn’t look too bad at this point, with a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 18 C expected Saturday and cloudy skies with a high of 16 C is forecast for Sunday.

Normal temperatures at this time of year in Kamloops are highs of 14 C and lows of 1 C.
