Some clouds and a chance of rain in the Okanagan this weekend

OKANAGAN - Expect a mixed bag of weather in the Okanagan this weekend, from a mix of sun and cloud on Saturday to a cloudy day on Sunday with a chance of some rain.

The Environment Canada forecast calls for a mainly cloudy day today, Sept. 21, in the Okanagan with a 40 per cent chance of showers and a high of 14 Celsius. The snow level is expected to rise from 1500 metres to 1800 metres. In Penticton, expect a gusty north wind today. Tonight across the Okanagan, expect mainly cloudy skies with a 40 per cent chance of showers in the evening. The snow level is expected to be at 1700 metres with a low 6 C. 

Tomorrow is the first day of fall and the high is expected to be around 15 C. The weather office predicts a mix of sun and cloud. Friday night is likely to have cloudy periods and a low 6 C.

On Saturday, the weather office predicts a mix of sun and cloud with 30 per cent chance of showers and a high of about 18 C. That night, the chance of showers increases to 40 per cent which is expected to continue into Sunday.

Cloudy with 40 per cent chance of showers in Kelowna and Penticton on Sunday, however, a mix of sun and cloud with 30 per cent chance of showers is likely in Vernon.

Normal temperatures for this time of year are highs of 18 C and lows of 6 C.
