A snowfall warning has been issued for the Coquihalla Highway between Hope and Merritt .

Environment Canada says an intense Pacific frontal system will approach the interior of British Columbia today, Jan. 18, with light snow beginning early this evening and becoming heavier overnight.

The snow is expected to continue through Saturday with accumulations of between 15 and 25 centimetres by tomorrow evening. Strong southerly winds will result in blowing snow and low visibilities.
