Snow much to do this weekend

CupCasions will be holding their 5th Annual Children's Santa's Bake Shop this Saturday at 9 a.m.

KELOWNA – It’s the final weekend before Christmas, but if you’ve completed your shopping and decorating, there are more than enough activities around the city to keep you busy. Dress warm, however as the forecast calls for flurries all weekend and lows of -6 Celcius.

Get warm this weekend with CupCasions. They will be holding their 5th Annual Children's Santa's Bake Shop Saturday at 9 a.m. The event promises family fun, edible crafts, a visit from Santa, door prizes and coffee and treats for parents. Pre-registration is required, call 250-860-3690.

Santa is coming to visit the Waterfront grill in Peachland Sunday. At 9 a.m. he will be singing carols and reading The Night Before Christmas. Don’t forget to bring your kids’ letters for him to read. Reservations are required. Call 250-767-3255 for more information.

Hitch up your saddle and join The Willow Grove Riding School for Christmas pony rides this Sunday starting at 1 p.m. There will be hot chocolate and treats from 1:00-2:30 for kids aged 2-12. To sign up, email willowgroveridingschool@gmail.com

Urban Distilleries is hosting a Christmas Party on Friday at 6 p.m. to help raise funds for Inn from the Cold Homeless Shelter. Guests can taste Urban Distilleries entire line of spirits, learn about the production of alcohol from local ingredients, and enjoy fine, hand crafted cocktails. Cost is $25 per person and includes a cocktail of your choice.  A second cocktail is available with a donation to the food bank. Full bar service will also be available throughout the night.

Laurel Packinghouse will host a performance of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol Friday at 7:30 p.m. There will also be a family matinee Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are available here or at the Prospera Place Box Office.

If Christmas carol’s are your thing, Chordial Invitation will be performing their Christmas repertoire in the food court of Orchard Park Mall Saturday at 2 p.m.

Have some hot cocoa and a warm Christmas cookie as you browse through second hand goodies at the Ridgeview Church Christmas Fundraiser Flea Market Saturday at 3 p.m. There will be live festive music, gift basket give-away and more starting at 3 p.m.
