KELOWNA - Two small children were riding in a car that crashed into a power pole on Highway 33 Friday afternoon.

A 33-year-old woman and her two children, a four-year-old and a five-year-old were travelling east on Highway 33 when the vehicle veered right and off the road, hit a Fortis line and flipped over once before crashing into the power pole just before 1 p.m. Sept. 12.

The two children were not injured but their mother was taken to Kelowna General Hospital to be treated for minor injuries. In a press release, police said the woman may have experienced a medical issue while driving. Drugs and alcohol are not suspected as a cause of the accident at this time.
