KELOWNA – A local pub is missing several expensive signed NHL jerseys and the suspect is still at large after pulling off a smash and grab early this morning.

Officers and police services dog Ice was part of the search, but they were not able to track the suspect, according to a RCMP media release.

Police responded a commercial alarm at Rusty's Sports Bar and Grill in the 1500 block of Dilworth Avenue this morning, May 4, at 2:51 a.m. RCMP say the suspect gained entry by smashing a glass door.

Once inside, the suspect made short work of several wall display cases and took as many as nine signed NHL jerseys. Police say the thief tried and failed to break into a lottery terminal inside the bar area.

The suspect was caught on tape with a covered face, wearing blue jeans, a black jacket with white markings, a blue scarf and a pair of blue, black and white sneakers.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300. Remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, leaving a tip online at www.crimestoppers.net or by texting your tip to CRIMES (274637) with keyword ktown.
