KAMLOOPS — A Kamloops man accused in a gang-related murder will remain behind bars until April due to illness.

Hugh Alexander McIntosh, born in 1968, is one of two men charged with attempted murder and murder after a shooting at an apartment complex in Brocklehurst last month. Jason Glover was killed in the shooting and another woman was seriously injured as a result.

McIntosh was scheduled to appear in court today, March 22, for a bail hearing but his lawyer Dale Melville says his client was unable to appear in court in person or via video because he was feeling "under the weather."

Kamloops Provincial Court Judge Stephen Harrison adjourned McIntosh's bail hearing until April 8. His co-accused Gordie Braaten is also scheduled to appear in court the same day.

McIntosh was arrested Feb. 26 in Langley without incident.

Braaten was arrested earlier this month at a residence on Cree Drive in Tk'emlups te Secwepemc.
