The Shuswap’s only floating bar and restaurant has been listed for sale.

The Shuswap Shark Shack, located in the Cinnemousun Narrows on Shuswap Lake, has been listed for sale for $749,900. It is the only licensed floating restaurant and bar on the lake, according to its Twitter page.

The Shark Shack is a three-barge arrangement making a floating 197-foot-long platform.

The barges have sleeping quarters for approximately 15 people to serve the operations of the bar and restaurant along with the store and boat rental business, according to the real estate listing.

The front and middle barges are two stories and the front contains a kitchen, general store and gallery.

The upper floor has a full-service bar and two bedrooms while the rear barge is horseshoe-shaped to accommodate the tenders and allow for outside tie-ups for patrons and houseboats.

“The barge is assessed at over $1 million and the sale includes two-speed boats,” the listing reads.

Jean Seguin, with RE/MAX Crest Realty, said the owner decided to sell the restaurant as he has another business and he doesn’t live in the area.

“Last year was his best year. The pandemic year, last summer, was the best summer they’ve had. So it’s a good time to sell, he just wants to move on,” he said.
