Showery end to work week in the Okanagan

The Okanagan can expect a typical April weather pattern this week, with some sun, clouds and showers, and temperatures reaching the mid-teens.

PENTICTON - Some pleasant spring days are in the Okanagan forecast before a weather system later in the week brings some warmer temperatures and the possibility of some showers.

Environment Canada says to expect a mix of sun and clouds today, April 15,  with a 30 per cent chance of showers in the Okanagan with a high of 12 Celsius and an overnight low of 0 C.

Northwest winds are expected at 20 km/h this afternoon, with the snow level at 700 metres, rising to 1500 metres this afternoon.

It will be sunny tomorrow morning, followed by increasing cloudiness in the afternoon with a 30 per cent chance of showers late in the afternoon and southwest winds at 20 km/h. Tomorrow’s high will be 14 C.

On Wednesday, look for sunny skies and a high of 18 C.

Showers are expected Thursday and into Thursday night with a daytime high of 19 C and an overnight low of 9 C.

There will be a 60 per cent chance of showers Friday with a high of 14 C, followed by cloudy periods Friday night, again with a 60 per cent chance of showers, and a low of 6 C.

The weekend looks like it will be cloudy with a 60 per cent chance of showers with seasonal highs of 15 C and 17 C on Saturday and Sunday.
