Shootin’ hoops in the Loops

Kelly Olynyk is considered by many league general managers to be the biggest steal of the National Basketball Association Draft this summer, where he was chosen 13 overall.

KAMLOOPS – Kelly Olynyk from the Boston Celtics and other top experienced players and coaches, including Maya Olynyk, Sam Dower, and Jade Klette, are in town for the sold out Olynyk Klynyk happening from July 27 to 30 at the Tournament Capital Centre and TRU gyms.

While in Kamloops, these top athletes and coaches are giving back to the community and will be playing some drop-in basketball at Riverside Park and have invited the public to join them.
 
On Friday, July 24, Boston Celtics' Kelly Olynyk will join Maya Olynyk, Sam Dower, and Jade Klette to shoot some hoops from 11 a.m. to noon at the portable hoops in Riverside Park. The hoops are located north of the Rotary Bandshell and near the concession.
 
This free drop-in opportunity is hosted by the City of Kamloops and Olynyk Klynyk. There will be music, free Biosteel Sport Drinks sponsored by Dolson's Source for Sports, prizes and trivia contests, so come prepared to know all about these top athletes and coaches. These athletes and coaches will be on hand to play with you and share their practice tips. Bring your own basketball to play and get your autograph.
