VANCOUVER - Vancouver police have released a description of a suspect in the stabbing and sexual assault of a 35-year-old woman.
Police are describing the suspect in the Saturday night assault as Middle Eastern, in his mid to late 40s, six-feet to six-foot-two inches tall, and weighing about 250 pounds.
He has an olive skin tone, and police say he spoke with an accent and was balding with a short shaved black fringe of hair around the sides and back of his head.
Police say his vehicle is an older model, dark, bluish-green minivan with a sliding door on the passenger's side and dark tinted windows.
Police say the woman was walking along a street in east-side Vancouver just before midnight when she was approached by a man in a vehicle, dragged inside, assaulted, driven to another area, stabbed and then sexually assaulted.
The woman managed to fight off the attacker, but police say she suffered serious injuries.
