ST. THOMAS, Ont. - Police in a southwestern Ontario city are appealing to anyone who may have seen or "smelled" someone suspicious following a break-in at a sewage treatment facility.
St. Thomas, Ont., police say employees at the facility noticed on Wednesday morning that a utility trailer had been broken into.
Investigators say a hammer was taken from the trailer and used to break off a door handle to gain entry to the sewage room.
Police say there are no suspects and no witnesses.
They say they have no clue why anyone would want to break into a sewage treatment building.
