KELOWNA - Rob Mayne, a senior manager at the City of Kelowna, died suddenly yesterday, the city has announced, expressing its condolences.
Mayne died Thursday morning, June 14, leaving behind his partner and three adult sons, communications supervisor Tom Wilson said in a press release.
Mayne was divisional director of corporate services covering police services, bylaw, fire, purchasing and the city clerks office.
He started with the city as an accountant in 1991, working several management positions in finance and real estate before moving to corporate services.
Mayor Colin Basran praised Mayne as a humble leader and strong supporter of a safe, inclusive community.
