Season over for KIJHL's Kelowna Chiefs

Nicholas Kovacik scored the Kelowna Chiefs lone goal in their 4-1 loss to Osoyoos Saturday night.

The defeat puts an end to the Chiefs 2013/2014 KIJHL playoff run as the Coyotes won the first four games of the series.

Kovacik netted the goal on a power play at 11:38 in the first period off a pass from Nicholas Gnazdowsky and Braeden Cyra.

Osoyoos took control of the game in the second, netting two goals, one from Colin Chmelka the other Cameron Dobransky.  In the final 20 minutes of the game, Jamie Gallo scored to make it 3-1 and Jackson DeMatos solidified the 4-1 victory on an empty netter.

Tyler O’Donnell faced 47 shots between the pipes in the loss while Kelowna had 30 shots on goal.

The Kelowna Chiefs would like to thank their fans, volunteers, sponsors and of course the media for their support throughout the entire season.
