School districts want millions in holdback money from the provincial government.
School District 67 will discuss a province-wide school board move at tonight's district meeting to get the BC government to release holdback funds. This includes $2.1 million used to fund BC Public School Employers' Association's operating costs.
The Ministry of Education keeps school board funding on standby and ready to be handed to a particular school district if student enrollment is higher than expected.
There will also be some communication on the lack of communication between the ministry and the school districts.
Three student reading advocates will explain the impact of the Changing Results for Young Readers program.
Union contract issues, student transportation, teacher and support staff changes and student suspensions will be also be tonight's agenda.
