A collision involving two school buses on the Trans Canada in Salmon Arm caused significant traffic backlogs earlier this week.

Police and emergency services were called to the scene of a collision near Piers Point Road at 4:05 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 20th, according to media release by RCMP issued today, Nov. 22.

One school bus slowed down in traffic and the other bus collided with the back of the first bus, RCMP said. Students were checked by the ambulance service before boarding other busses to get home and only very minor injuries were found.

RCMP said emergency crews did their best to get traffic moving as soon as the students were checked out and thanks the motorists for their patience.
