The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Everett Silvertips 6-3 on Wednesday night in Kelowna, returning to Prospera Place and putting up its seventh straight home win in front of its home-town fans.

The Rockets jumped out to a 3-0 lead on Everett in the second period but the Silvertips kept pressuring Kelowna, eventually making the score 4-3, before a pair of empty net markers sealed the victory for Kelowna.

The Rockets improved to a WHL-best 38-6-0-2 on the season.

Jesse Lees had a goal and an assist while Marek Tvrdon scored his first goal at Prospera Place, and second in three games, in his home debut.

Cole Linaker and Tyson Baillie also scored before empty net goals by Ryan Olsen and Tyrell Goulbourne put the game out of reach.

The Rockets are idle Thursday before playing three games in three nights this weekend, beginning with a pair of homes games as Kelowna will host Medicine Hat on Friday and Lethbridge on Saturday. Then the Rockets will travel to Seattle on Sunday to complete a stretch of four games in five nights.
