KELOWNA – A season series sweep over the Kootenay Ice by the Okanagan Rockets.
The Rockets defeated the Ice in back to back games over the weekend in Rossland.

Beginning with Sunday Dec 8th, Kootenay was able to get one goal on the board but it didn’t slow the Rockets down as they cruised to an 8 – 1 victory.

Captain Branden Wagner picked up three points in the game with two goals and an assist.  Tyson Jost also added a pair of goals to take over the BCMML lead in scoring. He now has 19 goals and 19 assists for 38 points in just 18 games.

Taking a look at Saturday’s game, the Rockets defeated the Kootenay Ice 8 – 0.

Liam Finlay made his comeback after missing 10 games due to an injury.  He added three goals in the victory.
The weekend victories move the Rockets into sole possession of 1st place in the BCMML.

The Rockets won 16 – 1 this weekend and a seasonal set of 32 – 1.

Reid Kilburn was in net for both games and is now 12 – 2- 1 with a 2.00 GAA and a .019 SV percentage.

This coming weekend the Okanagan Rockets, who currently sit 18-3-1 on the season, will take on the third place Valley West Hawks.
