KELOWNA – Hockey Canada, in partnership with the Canadian Hockey League, announced its National Men’s Summer Under-18 roster that will compete at the 2015 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup next week. Of the 22 players selected, 12 currently play in the WHL.

Kelowna Rockets forward Dillon Dube, who will be going into his second season with Kelowna this year, was one of the 12 players chosen. Dube had 17 goals in 45 games as a WHL rookie last season with the Rockets.

The roster was selected following a five-day selection camp that included daily practices and three Red-White intrasquad games during Hockey Canada’s National Teams’ Summer Showcase at the Markin MacPhail Centre at WinSport’s Canada Olympic Park in Calgary.

The 12 WHL players selected to the 22-man roster were the most of any League. In total, 43 players attended the five-day selection camp.

The 2015 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup will take place between August 10-15 in Breclav, Czech Republic and Piestany, Slovakia. Team Canada has won the event the last seven consecutive years and 19 of 24 times since 1991.
