VERNON - It's a weekend of sunshine and warm weather for the South Okanagan. Kelowna’s neighbours to the north, however, may not be so lucky.
Environment Canada is calling for a risk of thunderstorms and a 30 per cent chance of showers for Vernon and Kamloops Saturday, Aug. 24, followed by more rain Sunday. Kelowna will avoid the thunderstorms today, according to Environment Canada, but will see a 30 per cent chance of rain tomorrow. By contrast, Penticton will continue to see highs of 26 C and sunny skies.
Environment Canada forecasts sunshine and warm weather leading into the Labour Day long weekend.
