Canadian international Brock Staller named Major League Rugby player of the week

Canadian international wing Brock Staller has been named player of the week in Major League Rugby after league-record 22-point performance in Seattle's 52-10 win over the Houston SaberCats.

Staller covered 127 metres on nine carries, scored a try and kicked four conversions and three penalties.

The 27-year-old from Vancouver is the first to be named player of the week twice this season. He was also honoured in Week 5.

Staller leads MLR in scoring with 128 points, 17 points ahead of second-place J.P. Eloff of the NOLA Gold.

He was also named to MLR's team of the week.
