RCMP musical ride bringing guests to Kelowna performance

RCMP musical ride in Armstrong, B.C.

KELOWNA - The RCMP musical ride is in Kelowna in just a few weeks and will be bringing along some extra entertainment.

Along with the world famous ride will be some family-friendly entertainment, Cops for Kids foundation, sponsor of the Kelowna stop, said today, July 18, in a press release.

Horses may be the stars of the show but dogs are runners up with a performance by the Central Okanagan Dog Agility Club.

Watch the handlers run their dogs through a numbered course, navigating obstacles while the clock is ticking. This high-energy sport is growing fast amongst dog owners and is a visual delight.

Joining the agility dogs will be members of the Police Dog Services section of the Kelowna RCMP, who will show off their skills, including criminal apprehension techniques.

Westbank First Nation member Tara Stanley will be drumming and dancing and Sophia Rideout will sing the Canadian national anthem.

There will be two performances of the musical ride on August 9 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. in Prospera Place in Kelowna.

Tickets are still available for the TD RCMP musical ride by calling 250-762-5050 or going to www.selectyourtickets.com.
