Rain in the Okanagan weekend forecast

OKANAGAN - The Okanagan is heading back into an active weather pattern after a couple of weeks of mostly sunny and mild fall weather.

Environment Canada meteorologist Matt MacDonald says clouds will move into the valley this afternoon, Oct. 25, with rain expected throughout the Valley into tomorrow.

Today’s high will be 12 Celsius, with rain. Friday in the Okanagan will see a 40 per cent chance of showers with a high of 11 C.

MacDonald says conditions will improve on Saturday prior to another system moving into the region on Sunday.

Saturday will be mainly sunny with a high of 11 C, with showers returning on Sunday and a high of 10 C expected. That system could bring 10 to 15 mm of rain to the Okanagan.

The sun returns Monday, along with some cloudy periods and a high of 10 C forecast.

MacDonald says temperatures are expected to remain at or near normal levels for this time of year, which are highs of about 9 C and lows of around 1 C.
