One man dead, another wounded after being shot in car near Montreal

BELOEIL, Que. - One man is dead and another is in hospital following a shooting Thursday night in Beloeil, Que., on the south shore of Montreal.

Provincial police say local police were called at about 10:30 p.m. about two wounded men in a vehicle in the parking lot of a licensed establishment.

Both were rushed to hospital, where one man later died of his injuries.

There was no immediate information on the condition of the second man and no names or ages have been released.

Police were questioning staff and customers of the establishment, which was open at the time of the shooting.
