WESTWOLD – Westwold Elementary School is celebrating 125 years this Friday with special presentations by current students and an open microphone session for people to share their stories.
The anniversary celebration will begin at 5 p.m. with tours of the school and then a performance by the students will take place at 5:30 p.m. Refreshments and an open mic session will take place afterwards.
“The school celebration, I expect, would interest people who have some kind of connection to the school past and present,” principal Darlene Gordon says. “We look forward to a lovely celebration as our school community celebrates the years of past through today.”
Guests must RSVP prior to the event. Gordon says they already have quite a few people coming to the celebration, including several School District 73 representatives.
