The authorities took action against an unlicensed pot shop in the South Okanagan this morning.

The Pot Doctor, which sells cannabis from a shop on Highway 97 north of Oliver, had a visit from members of the Ministry of Public Safety's community safety unit around 10 a.m. today, Oct. 19, according to an email from Oliver RCMP Sgt. Don Wrigglesworth.

He said RCMP officers accompanied the investigators with the unit to ensure their safety.

Earlier in 2022, the Pot Doctor was the subject of an arson.

To help pay for the damage, an online fundraiser for the business raised $440.

The business refers to itself as an Indigenous cannabis and CBD health centre on its Instagram page.
