Properties near McCarthy Lake north of Kamloops ordered to evacuate

KAMLOOPS – Another evacuation order has been issued around the Little Fort area north of Kamloops.

Properties in the McCarthy Lake area in Electoral Areas A and O of the Thompson Nicola Regional District have been ordered to evacuate. The addresses of the properties are:

• 2357 to 3141 Auldgirth Road
• 285 Bradshaw Road
• 1939 to 3085 Dunn Lake Road
• 60 and 61 Emery Road
• 2560 to 2790 McCarthy Creek Road
• 9840 Windpass Road

District chair John Ranta issued the order at 2:30 p.m. today, July 15.

The area the orders have been issued for is between Little Fort and Clearwater. Clearwater was put on evacuation alert earlier today.
