KAMLOOPS - Anyone walking through downtown Kamloops this week has seen that the city has pride.
But, before Pride week ends, there's still a lot of celebrating to do.
The city's 3rd Annual Downtown Pride Parade is underway as people sport colourful garb and celebrate.
Taking place at Stuart Wood Elementary and Paul Street as opposed to the usual Riverside Park, parade festivities began at 10 a.m. and are expected to wrap up by 3 p.m. before an afterparty at The Noble Pig Brewhouse.
The parade and afterparty act as the final event in the week-long celebration. A new rainbow crosswalk was unveiled Aug. 19 to signal the start of Kamloops Pride 2019.
