PENTICTON - Penticton and area roads were made safer after Penticton RCMP took two impaired drivers off the streets last night.

Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth says police stopped a vehicle on Lakeview Street last night, Feb. 20, around 8:50 p.m.

The driver exhibited signs of impairment, in addition to having an expired drivers license.

The woman was given a three-day immediate roadside prohibition.

Less than two hours later, police encountered a second suspected impaired driver at the intersection of Martin Street and Nanaimo Avenue.

The man was also given a three day immediate roadside prohibition and ticketed for not wearing a seat belt.
