Kelowna RCMP want to talk to two women and a man who were in an altercation with another woman yesterday, Aug. 18, near the foot of Bernard Avenue.
An RCMP officer on a routine patrol in the area was stopped by people concerned for the wellbeing of a woman bleeding heavily from a wound in her arm.
She was intoxicated and unable to tell the officer what happened. She was taken to hospital and treated for a non-life-threatening injury.
“Surveillance was obtained which showed an earlier altercation had occurred between the injured woman and two females who are possibly known to the victim,” an RCMP news release says. “A male was also present with the two females during the incident. The surveillance showed two females fighting. The victim was able to free herself and walk away to the area where she was located by the concerned citizens.”
Police have not yet been able to identify those involved in the altercation so they are asking them or any witnesses to come forward by calling the RCMP non-emergency line at 250-762-3300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
