Police looking for witnesses to stabbing in Kamloops mall parking lot

A man with life-threatening stab wounds was found in a Kamloops parking lot earlier this week and investigators are reaching out to the public for help solving the case.

Police responded to the North Hills Mall parking lot in the 700 block of Tranquille Road around 1 a.m., Monday, Sept. 19, according to an RCMP media release.

The victim has taken to hospital where he remains in stable condition.

“Police are currently in the process of reviewing surveillance in the area and collecting evidence,” Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said in the release. “Anyone who witnessed or was involved in the assault is asked to please contact police as soon as possible.”

Those with information, dash cam, or security footage can call the Kamloops RCMP detachment at 250-828-3000 and reference file number 2022-33402.
