VERNON - A citizen had a gut feeling something wasn't right when several people in a black Hummer stopped to ask for directions on Nobel Canyon Road last week.
A man was approached by the group April 3, who were asking where they could go off-roading. The man called RCMP and told them the licence plate number for the vehicle. Mounties ran the number and discovered the Hummer was stolen. They headed out to Noble Canyon Road where they took four people into custody.
The driver, a 25-year-old Vernon man is expected to face charges of possession of stolen property.
