Pickleball National Championships in Kelowna this weekend

KELOWNA – Pickleballers from across Canada will be in Kelowna this weekend for the National Championships.

Pickleball is a relatively new racquet sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton and wiffle ball. The Pickleball Canada National Championships will take place at Parkinson Recreation Centre July 8, July 9 and July 10.

Hundreds of players from across the country will compete in men’s and women’s singles and doubles with medals handed out to the top three players and teams.

Registration begins at 7 a.m. and opening ceremonies at 7:45 a.m.
