Penticton senior fined for supplying liquor to minors

PENTICTON - A Penticton man was been ticketed for buying booze for teenagers last week.

Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth says it all started Friday afternoon, June 2, when police received a complaint about a man supplying drugs to four teenagers on Martin Street.

Turns out, the man didn't give the teens the drugs they were smoking near KVR Middle School, but he did purchase liquor for them.

Wrigglesworth says the young people, aged 12 or 13, had acquired the drugs elsewhere.

A 66-year-old Penticton man was handed a $575 ticket for supplying liquor to minors.
