PENTICTON - Penticton RCMP are investigating a suspected road rage incident that left a motorist with injuries.

Police responded to a report of an altercation taking place between two motorists in the 400 block of Winnipeg Street yesterday, March 27, at around 2:30 p.m., according to an RCMP media release.

Officers found one of the drivers sitting on the sidewalk with facial injuries sustained by a punch to the face by another motorist.

Witnesses told police the driver of a Ford F-150 extended cab pulled in front of the victim’s vehicle while stopped in traffic. The alleged assailant then got out of his truck and approached the victim’s car, yelling at him and kicking the victim’s vehicle door.

As the suspect returned to his own vehicle, the victim approached him and was punched in the face prior to the suspect driving away.

RCMP describe the suspect as a Caucasian male, 6' tall, with short black hair and glasses, wearing a blue shirt, jeans and a lanyard.

Anyone witnessing the assault is encouraged to contact the Penticton RCMP at 250-492-4300, quoting file number 2019-4281, or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 anonymously.
