PENTICTON - Penticton RCMP are investigating the theft of several quads in and around the city last week.
Police spokesperson Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth says Friday night, Jan. 20, police were called to a Spiller Road address after the resident discovered his 2005 grey and black Polaris ATV was stolen. The ATV also had a new snowplow blade attached.
The owner suspected the theft occurred overnight Thursday, but was not discovered until Friday.
Police also investigated the theft of a quad on Saturday, Jan. 21 at Verrano Place, Wrigglesworth says. The theft occurred in spite of the homeowner interrupting two people breaking into his garage.
Sunday morning, Jan. 22, police were called to investigate the theft of a side by side ATV on Apex Mountain Road. Tracks in the snow led away from the scene before disappearing, where police believe the ATV was loaded into a vehicle for transport.
Wriggles worth says police continue to investigate the incidents.
