The City of Penticton is looking for up to six works of sculpture for a year-long outdoor exhibit kicking off in May of 2017.

The works will be displayed along the Okanagan waterfront and Front street roundabout and will remain on display until April of 2018.

The competition is open to local, national or international artists.

Robin Robertson, chair of the public sculpture sub-committee and vice-chair of the Arts, Cultural and Creative Innovations Committee, states, "Public art sparks our imagination, encourages us to pause, stimulates conversations and creates gathering spaces - all things that contribute to vibrant interesting communities. I am thrilled that our City leaders are supporting a public sculpture initiative that will add to the rich cultural fabric of Penticton and provide an opportunity for sculptors from near and far to showcase their work."

Applications will be accepted applications until December 16.

Completed sculptures or proposed designs may be submitted (proposed designs must include examples of previous work as well as detailed drawings).
